Multiple split case horizontal pump models 325kW – 520 kW operating in single and parallel operation at variable speed, drawing from a common suction manifold located below dam level.
Distribution network incorporating multiple pipelines with individual chainage characteristics and distinct considerations, varying terrain and pipe sizes of DN750, DN500, DN375 & DN300. Each delivery line having its own particular flowrate and pressure requirements.
DETAILS
Investigation, testing and analysis procedures were conducted. Facts were identified and reported, indicating the features of the system responsible for poor operational performance.
Subsequently, when system rectification work was performed, reliability and delivery demands could be achieved, efficiency was enhanced and operational costs reduced.
Once the system issues were rectified and the pumps now operating appropriately, a sequential refurbishment program was undertaken to recondition infrastructure.
