A new dewatering strategy was needed to boost underground dewatering capabilities as the
existing infrastructure could not manage increased dewatering requirements.

An underground study was conducted by J.A.C. Pumps who worked collaboratively with mine
staff to develop a solution best suited to mine requirements.
DN200 25bar rated booster modules were designed and manufactured to provide a station,
matched to pump varying influent flows of 20L/s – 40L/s through the existing DN150/DN200
Careful consideration was taken in design factoring in ease of maintenance and compatibility
with existing mine, infrastructure and SCADA requirements.
